If you listen at all to our podcast. Or follow me on Facebook or Twitter. You know I have a problem. I’ve had this problem since Silver Linings Playbook. And it took a deep dark turn for the obsession.
I’ll be honest I only fell deeper (creepier?) in love. And every time she had an interview there was some quip that pushed me further. Her goofing around. Joking attitude. Not caring what people think.
Or so I thought.
That’s 76 Jennifer Lawrence moments from red carpets, awards, interviews, etc. Honestly hilarious. Cute even. You have to admit she is easy to fall in love with. I mean who doesn’t want to have a random conversation with her over coffee?
Then I realized something.
In 10 years time I’m going to think she’s an annoying twit. This cutesy, fart talking, funny face making girl can’t last forever. It’s nice new and refreshing right now. It’s different from the Hollywood norm. And she does it well.
But I think she is in her comfort zone. She has the Hunger Trilogy trilogy going for her. And X-Men. Both series which won’t fail because of their built in fan base.
Next she is starring in a new movie called Serena – with Bradley Cooper.
If you’re keeping score that’s three movies they’ve been in together and twice now as love interests. I can’t really say she is branching out with her movies either. I won’t be surprised if her character in Serena is a wife/girlfriend who is chemically imbalanced/crazy/weird and has someone wrapped around her finger. Ala Silver Linings Playbook AND American Hustle.
But who am I to complain? I still love her. I’m just mentally preparing for the day when I step back and realize that the woman I fell in love with is no longer that woman. It will happen.
There’s always JGL though.
